Note to Editors: DID YOU KNOW?
- Over 45,000 energy saving light bulbs have been handed out to UAE citizens in the last two months as part of a continuing outreach initiative by ‘Heroes of the UAE' (www.heroesoftheuae.ae)
- 80% of the UAE's footprint is related to CO2 emissions mainly due to energy consumption
- If all the energy-saving light bulbs replace existing traditional light bulbs, the potential carbon footprint savings will be equivalent to taking 2500 cars off the road
